The greatest Roma players of all time – that’s what we are going to discuss today.
A.S. Roma is arguably one of the most significant clubs in Italian soccer. Founded in 1927 in the beautiful capital, nowadays, the Giallorossi are among the teams with the most loyal fanbase in the country. Although not as popular as Juventus, AC Milan, or Inter Milan, they also have many supporters outside Italy.
Currently owned by United States’ Friedkin Group, A.S. Roma is trying to get back to the top of Italian soccer. They made a big statement in the summer of 2021 by hiring one of the most excellent managers in history – Jose Mourinho. The Special One delivered in his first season as he won the club its first European trophy, the UEFA Conference League.
Although a big club, Roma has won the Serie A just three times so far – in 1942, 1983, and 2001. They are much more successful in the Coppa Italia, where they triumphed 9 times. Two more times, the capital giants won the Supercoppa Italiana.
Today we will discuss Roma’s best 10 players in the club’s history. Some fantastic men used to wear the club’s red shirt, and they deserve some attention. Here we go!
